VCBA Legal Services Fund

Applications for the Ventura County Bar Association Legal Services Fund are currently being accepted. Qualified charitable organizations completing this application and seeking either general operating support or specific project support: Must be a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community-based organization, school, or other agency providing a public benefit. Additional information may be requested once your application is reviewed.
Applications will not be considered for the following: (1) Organizations not in good standing with the State of California Attorney General and/or the Internal Revenue Service, (2) Political or partisan purposes, and/or (3) Religious activities.
CRITERIA
- The primary focus shall be to fund legal services and to provide legal information beneficial to the residents of Ventura County, California.
- The secondary area of focus is to distribute monies to Ventura County community-based organizations which deliver programs and services to special populations including: youth, seniors, disadvantaged and the physical and mentally challenged, as well as for unrestricted general charitable purposes within and without the County of Ventura, California. Please note, these funds cannot be used for wages or benefits.
Disbursement amounts may range from $250.00 to a maximum of $7,000. Grant may fund one or more nonprofits.
TIME LINE
- January through July of each year, applications will be accepted.
- August, VCBA Community Outreach Committee will review and score applications.
- September, recipient(s) will be notified by letter .
- October, recipient(s) will be invited to attend VCBA’s annual gala in November for the award presentation.
