Pro Bono  Legal Services Provided Through The Ventura County Bar Association’s Award-Winning Volunteer Lawyer Services Program

The VCBA/VLSP provides direct and comprehensive services to low-income and  indigent families and individuals residing in Ventura County, or cases pending before the Ventura County Courts.

The objective of the program is to provide access to justice for families and individuals who simply cannot afford an attorney, and whose monthly gross income is at state  poverty level.  People who qualify for our services are most often the same people who qualify for a fee waiver at the court.

The target population has always been low income and indigent families and individuals experiencing a legal issue, and who cannot afford a lawyer to assist them.  VLSP provides legal services in conservatorship, consumer law, family law, guardianship, landlord/tenant law and personal injury defense cases, as well as other general civil matters.*Please note pro bono services are not guaranteed even if you qualify.  Pro bono does not help with bankruptcy, foreclosure, spousal support and child support.

If you believe we can help you with your legal matter, please call our office at (805) 650-7599, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
