Governor Jerry Brown approved new fees for respondents and real parties in interest in California appellate matters. The $325 fee took effect immediately after its passage in August. It must be paid when one of these parties files its first document in appeals and writs in the Court of Appeal or the California Supreme Court. The fee applies even if the respondent has already filed its brief.
